Movember is almost over. Get ready to feast your eyes on the final product that the large share of adult male population has been working towards. Let us now go to the Nevada dessert and see the month’s bearded achievements, with countless contestants gathered in Las Vegas to participate in the 2012 National Beard and Moustache Championships.
Thrash Lab, LA based production team behind the recent Empty America series, traveled to the championships, documenting some of its most interesting participating specimens. The contenders competed in sub-categories such as Natural, Dali, Fu Manchu, Musketeer, Verdi, Garibaldi and Freestyle in each category (i.e. Mustache, Partial Beard, Full Beard).
Unlike the “Freestyle” you are used to seeing about to crawl off some of your fellow resigned train passengers’ faces, these guys are not short on styling ideas. Exhibit A, a dude with a globe made of his own hair tucked into the side of his mustache, with an arrow pointing to Las Vegas. Trying to sweeten the judges much? Mm-hmm.
